He’s an enduring style icon who’s pioneered some iconic looks over the decades…but Mick Jagger’s latest accessory is eye-catching, even by his extravagant standards.

However, it wasn’t a fashion statement, but a pair of “light therapy” specs that were supposed to help fight the signs of aging.

Priced between £130 and £300, they project artificial blue light onto the face and eyes which are claimed to improve mood, regulate sleep and relieve depression, anxiety, chronic pain and seasonal affective disorder.

Perhaps they hold the key to the rocker’s youthful energy. Or maybe it’s all down to dating a woman 44 years his junior.

After removing the gadget, the Rolling Stones frontman was joined on the Florida hotel balcony by Melanie Hamrick, the mother of his five-year-old son Deveraux.

They shared a moment enjoying the Miami seaside view below before the 34-year-old ballerina – wearing a low-cut cardigan with her hair tied up in a bun – cuddled her partner.

The tender moment came hours before the Rolling Stones played the final show of their 58-date No Filter World Tour at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino that evening.

It marked the end of a troubled time on the road, delayed by Sir Mick undergoing surgery to replace a heart valve two years ago, the Covid pandemic and the death of drummer Charlie Watts in September at the age 80 years old.

Ms Hamrick, who has been dating Sir Mick since 2014, has been by his side through all the ups and downs of the last four years of on-and-off touring.

But given the grueling schedule, it’s no wonder the rocker turned to light therapy goggles to help him maintain his famous stamina and elasticity on stage.

Battery-powered gadgets, which are normally worn for up to an hour, are claimed to increase energy, banish fatigue, increase productivity and improve performance.

Everything Sir Mick does to stay young is clearly working. A review of the evening’s gig in front of 6,5000 fans praised how Sir Mick “threw the crowd into a frenzy as he dragged, ducked, kicked and moved around the stage “.
