Mecca Beauty Election: These are the BEST perfumes of 2022

The eight most-requested scents of 2022 have been announced — and they include $157 “vacation in a bottle” and a scent that smells like “clean sheets and fresh morning air.”

The fragrances were listed as finalists ahead of the highly anticipated Mecca Australia Beauty Election and each received thousands of rave reviews.

Editions de Parfums By Frédéric Malle Portrait of a Lady EDP, $359

Notes: Turkish rose, patchouli, raspberry, black currant, cinnamon, clove, sandalwood, incense, benzoin and musk

Described as “powerful, elegant and opulent”, this rich fragrance of exquisite Turkish rose is infused with patchouli and syrupy black berries.

Promising an air of “royal majesty”, the stunning scent was summed up as “smoky, mysterious and completely irresistible”.
