Marrow Fine launches MGK ring collection with diamonds from this viral red carpet manicure – JCK

In May of this year, musician Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) walked the red carpet at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards sporting a $30,000 diamond manicure.

The killer claws were a collaboration of Marrow Fine Jewelry and Nails of LA, using 11.4 ct. tw of diamonds and over 10 hours of creation time. At the time, we spoke with Marrow Fine founder and creative director Jillian Sassone about the viral red carpet moment and the lasting impact of the manicure. She told us the stones would be recycled into a series of limited-edition rings.

That moment has arrived, with the brand yesterday unveiling an 18-piece capsule collection featuring 880 diamonds recycled from MGK’s mega manicure. And, as promised, all proceeds from sales of the collection will go to a charity of the rock star’s choice, Shaker Heights High School through the Shaker Schools Foundation. The Ohio-based charity benefits the high school Baker attended.

Four unique designs available in 14k white, yellow or rose gold make up this collection (note that Colson bands are crafted in 14k yellow gold), using white or black diamonds for that unforgettable look.

“Machine Gun Kelly’s red carpet moment at the Billboard Awards was such a viral moment for Marrow Fine, and I’m so excited to share the final collection with the world,” Sassone said in a statement. “Collaborating with Nails of LA and Machine Gun Kelly has been an exciting opportunity and I’m thrilled that it’s supporting those in need here in the United States.”
