I’ve tried Aldi’s new £5.99 perfumes which are dupes for these high-end bottles – Bethan Shufflebotham

Known for its cheap beauty dupes, Aldi has launched two new fragrances that could save shoppers up to £92 on their favorite fragrance. Lacura products launched online this week, with pre-orders selling out within 48 hours.

The two new fragrances in their dermatologically tested range include Lacura Lady Pour Femme and Lacura Atom. Both priced at £5.99 for 100ml, they’re already a fraction of the price of most mainstream and high-end fragrances.

Scheduled to hit stores this Thursday, April 14, Lacura Lady Pour Femme would be a dupe of the £98 Carolina Herrera Good Girl.

The Aldi version comes in a large pyramid-style bottle in a dark blue color. It has notes of sandalwood and tonka bean that complement undertones of orange blossom and Bulgarian rose, and smells really warm and cozy.

The second new fragrance is said to be very similar to the Molecule 1 fragrance from Escentric Molecules. Lacura’s Atom could save buyers £66 on the big brand, and has been ‘carefully formulated with Iso E Super’.

This perfume offers a warm and woody scent designed to adapt to each wearer. With velvety and amber aromas that can strengthen over time, this scent doesn’t really need to be recharged throughout the day like with some cheaper scents.

The Atom bottle is similar to that of Armani Diamonds in shape, round, clear and relatively simple. But for me, it’s the scent that matters more than the beauty of the bottle on your bedside table.

Both cruelty-free fragrances have a sophisticated and luxurious scent, offering a designer scent without the high price tag that comes with them. Of the two, my favorite was the Lacura Lady Pour Femme, which was slightly sweeter but still had that sensual, almost masculine element that I love in a scent.

Shoppers are thrilled that cult favorite Lacura Dark Blossom is also back in the center aisle. The YSL Black Opium dupe sees top notes of pink pepper and orange blossom offset by sweet aromas of jasmine and coffee.

With savings of up to 93% over similar brands, customers need to act fast if they want to get their hands on these gorgeous fragrances because, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone. .

Shoppers who bought the fragrances online left five-star reviews, saying they smell “amazing.” One said: “Dark Blossom smells like YSL Black Opium. Good for everyday use except the expensive stuff for special occasions.

Another added: “Smells great and similar to one of the brand perfumes I have. Would definitely buy again and especially at such a fantastic price!”

“Fantastic smells great, will buy again,” wrote a third.

Aldi’s women’s fragrances are available to buy in stores from April 14, while supplies last.
